Why there is a hold on my payment method when I requested for booking?

When the guest submits a booking request, Resortifi may place a hold on their payment method, called an authorization, for the full amount of the booking.

If the booking is accepted, the authorization will turn into a real charge and the amount will be deducted from the guest’s payment account.

If the booking request is declined or expires, the authorization will disappear or appear as a refund in guest’s payment account. Depending on the processing time of guest’s bank, the release of the authorization may take up to 7 business days.
