What insurance cover Resortifi provides to the Hosts?

Hosts or the property owners at Resortifi have two options they can choose from when it comes to their property and liability insurance.

  • Resortifi supports the hosts or property owners bringing their own insurance.
  • Resortifi supports guest coverage.

a) If you bring your own insurance

If you want to bring your own insurance, then following coverages are included:

  • If you entrust your property/home to a paying Resortifi short-term rental guest for 3 days, and that guest throws a party and vandalizes, damages, or steals my property.
  • If you entrust your property/home to a paying Resortifi short-term rental guest for 3 days, and that guest breaks into your neighbour’s dwelling unit and steals their property.
  • If you entrust my property/home to a paying Resortifi short-term rental guest for 3 days, and that guest assaults another person who then sues you, then there is a liability coverage.
  • If you entrust your property/home to a paying Resortifi short-term rental guest for 3 days, and that guest sues you for invasion of privacy, then there is a liability coverage?

b) Resortifi Guest Coverage

Air Cover Insurance

Resortifi’s AirCover is free protection for your booking, included for every guest. It helps you get refunded or find a new place to stay if you experience an unlikely issue like a Host cancellation, trouble checking in, or a missing key amenity.

Guest identity verification

Our comprehensive verification system checks details such as name, address, government ID, and more to confirm the identity of guests who book on Resortifi.

Reservation screening

Our proprietary technology analyses hundreds of factors in each reservation and blocks certain bookings that show a high risk for disruptive parties and property damage.

$2M damage protection

Resortifi reimburses you for damage caused by guests to your home and belongings, and includes these specialized protections:
  • Art & valuables
Resortifi will restore, replace or pay you for damaged art or valuables.
  • Auto & boat

We protect the cars, boats, and other watercraft that you park or store at your home.

  • Pet damage

We will pay to repair damage done by a guest’s pet.

  • Income loss

If you have to cancel Resortifi bookings due to guest damage, you'll be compensated for the lost income.

  • Deep cleaning

We will reimburse you for extra cleaning services needed after a guest’s stay––for example, professional carpet cleaning.

  • Host liability insurance

With Resortifi’s $1M liability insurance, you’re protected in the rare event that a guest gets hurt or their belongings are damaged or stolen.

It is a part of Resortifi’s AirCover for Hosts, provides Hosts with $1 million in coverage in the rare event you are found legally responsible for a guest getting hurt or their belongings being damaged or stolen while they’re staying at your place. People who help you host, like Co-Hosts and cleaners, are also included, so you can feel confident hosting on Resortifi.

What's covered?

Host liability insurance covers you if you’re found legally responsible for:

  • Bodily injury to a guest (or others)
  • Damage to or theft of property belonging to a guest (or others)
  • Damage caused by a guest (or others) to common areas, like building lobbies and nearby properties.

Host liability insurance doesn't cover:

  • Damage or injury resulting from something done intentionally.
  • Damage to your place or belongings caused by a guest (that’s covered by Host damage protection)
  • Other exclusions apply.
