1. How can I bring “inclusivity” in my hosting style?
Here are some top suggestions for promoting inclusivity:
Join a Host group. There is a network of Hosts who have been in your position—willing to help guide you in your journey, provide advice, and move you past your skepticism. It's much easier to host than it was a long time ago.
Do your research. Use the resources at your disposal. Resortifi provides this information for you, but there’s also a lot of other resources out there. There’s a lot more available now than before.
Develop your hosting style. As you begin to host, have a sense of where you are going. Have a definition of what you want to achieve at Resortifi. How would you like to be treated if you were the guest? What is your niche? What can you do differently? How do you want guests to remember you? Create a plan.
Give back to your community. If you are helping others, you are more likely to be inclusive and involved. Once you have established yourself as a Host and developed your niche, find ways to give back and support other Hosts.
Prioritize safety. Develop trust with your guest—that is crucial to your ability to protect them. Use your knowledge of the city, home, and the guests to create the safest experience possible.
2. How can I customize the cleaning fee?
As a Host, you are always in charge of your hourly price and whether you want to add a cleaning fee. However, until now, you could only set one fixed fee to cover cleanup costs after guests check out.
Our new pricing tools give you the flexibility to customize your cleaning fee. So, you can now offer a lower fee to guests who stay only 1 or 2 days. If you opt in, your regular cleaning fee for longer stays remains the same unless you change it.
Your cleaning fee typically pays for the housekeeping you expect to do after hosting guests.
