Using Instagram to advertise your space?

It might feel challenging to stand out as a new Host or if you're in a competitive area. With its high popularity and easily shareable nature, Instagram is a cost-effective and low-effort way to increase your exposure to potential Guests! Many Hosts even offer Guests small perks like a free amenity or additional time at the reservation if they post pictures of themselves at the reservation and tag the listing on Instagram, ensuring word gets around to an interested audience.

Setting up an Instagram for your listing is easy:

  1. Create an Instagram account online or via the Instagram app, making sure to use the name of your Pool as your account name.
  2. Once you have created your account, use your account bio to give a brief description of your listing. Consider mentioning some basic descriptors for your pool such as "saltwater" or "heated”.
  3. End the description with a variation of “For availability and bookings please go to {link to your pool on Resortifi}". To find your pool link, sign in to Resortifi.com and select Manage Listing > Preview Listing where you will see this share icon
  4. For example, view this Instagram account for The Orange Pool which highlights the type of pool listed, the location, and how to get to the listing on Resortifi
  5. The next step, and possibly most important, is to post high-quality videos and pictures of your space to really give Guests a feel for your space. We suggest sharing at least 9 photos, even if they're already on your Swimply listing page. Use short but fun captions such as "life really is better by the pool".
    1. Protip: Having trouble getting photos that best represent your listing? Resortifi has professional photographers in many cities to capture beautiful photos of your pool. Click here to learn more: resortifi Pool Photography
  6. Lastly, decide what kind of perks you'd like to offer Guests who tag your account in their photos. Some common choices are an extra 30 minutes at their reservation, a free amenity, or a promo code for their next booking with you!

Hashtag your Posts

Make good use of hashtags like #summergetaway, #escapelocally, or #thingstodoinNYC on your posts to help attract potential Guests.

Partner with Local Brands and Organizations

Consider posting pictures with items from local businesses or hosting an event with local influencers such as mom groups, Big Brothers Big Sister, or other community building organizations. You can both tag each other in posts, increasing online traffic for both parties!

Highlight Event Capabilities

Is your Space good for a small birthday celebration or just right for a romantic evening? Entice prospective Guests by capturing pictures of your Space set up for these events and snag photos of the happy Guests ( after asking for their permission, of course).

Post Regularly

Keep your account active and at the forefront of prospective Guests' minds by making a post every 1 -2 weeks!
